A love of history and the Bay area — and a leap of faith — birthed a new career for Chris in 2017. While a crane operator in a steel mill, Chris got the idea to start Mobile’s first food tour inspired by hearing about a friend’s experience going on one in Savannah. He began Bienville Bites Food Tours in 2017. The business flourished, and in 2020, Chris launched the tour’s Fairhope iteration, Taste of Fairhope. Bienville Bites was named the “Best Food Tour in Alabama” by Love Exploring Travel Guide and was listed in the top 5 in USA TODAY 2024 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Food Tour in both 2023 and 2024. After clerking for former Presiding Judge John Lockett and passing the bar, Johana quickly climbed the ranks within the DA’s Office. Johana served as the sole prosecutor for Mobile’s Drug Court, was promoted to lead prosecutor for the Sex Assault Response Team (SART) and served as Team Leader for all Circuit Court ADAs. As a flight nurse for 11 years with USA SouthFlight, he completed 1,000 patient transports in the critical care air medical transport environment before recently retiring. He was the winner of the first Smiles Behind the Shield Award from WKRG News 5 in 2019. In his role on the Daphne City Council, he spearheaded the $250,000 renovation of Centennial Park in downtown Daphne and played a key role in constructing the Daphne Jubilee Splash Pad area. Jennifer serves as Mobile County’s Chief Assistant District Attorney, bringing extensive experience in criminal prosecution. She began her career in Chicago, Illinois, prosecuting cases for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. When she moved to Mobile, Jennifer served as an Assistant District Attorney in Mobile County, handling cases ranging from capital litigation and Class A felonies, all the way down to traffic offenses. She moved to practicing civil law at Starnes Davis Florie LLP, but she ultimately felt called back to criminal prosecution and became the first Chief Assistant City Attorney of the Criminal Division for the City of Mobile. In 2023, she was appointed the Chief Assistant District Attorney of Mobile County, where she oversees all prosecutions. She has been instrumental in shaping legislation, including 2019 AL House Bill 375, which made possessing a stolen firearm a felony offense, regardless of value.
